4 months ago the world came to a stop due to Covid-19. Schools shut down, businesses closed and of course, weddings were cancelled- but love wasn't. I've heard jokes that quarantine would make or break many relationships, and for Jackie and Greg it was the positive side of that - nothing was going to stop their love. Their original May celebration was moved to next year but they decided to not wait any longer to become husband and wife. So they gathered their parents and siblings at Jackie's childhood home, and thanks to technology Jackie's brother was able to officiate the wedding over Zoom (what a cool time to live in!). When I arrived it was all the same excitement that you'd expect on a wedding day, but somehow it felt even sweeter than normal. There were lots of laughs, lots of happy tears and there were even whiskey shots before walking down the aisle (they're definitely my kind of people!). Their day was extremely heartfelt and after several months of not picking up a camera, it reminded me why I do what I do. We may not be able to control if a pandemic happens, but we sure realize what really matters when one does.
