Malwina and Nate met working at The National Archives, so they felt it was only appropriate to marry where it all began: Washington DC. Their wedding was one of the most creative weddings I've ever been a part of! We started at the Riggs Hotel in Penn Quarter before heading over to St.Matthew's Catholic Church where the couple shared vows with readings in both English and Polish to represent the joining of their two families and cultures. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing tourist! We took a trolley to several of the iconic spots in the city, starting with the War Memorial where they enjoyed first dances. We ventured on to the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool where they enjoyed time with their families, most of whom were from out of town so it was a real treat! Even though I live right near Washington DC but it reminded me that I don't take nearly enough time to enjoy our nation's capital! We finished our tour at the National Archives before heading back for cocktails at Riggs. Before the rain came down guests were able to enjoy the rooftop views of the city and we were joined by Malwina and Nate's sweet pup, Lola! Dinner was graced with a traditional Polish song from Malwina's grandfather then we finished the night exploring the inside of the hotel, which was previously a well-known bank constructed in the late 1800's. I always enjoy a creative challenge and loved incorporating a bit of the building's history into the photos! Thank you, Malwina and Nate, for choosing me to be a part of such a fun and elegant wedding! I wish you all the best that life can bring!
