Annapolis Engagement Session | Carla & James | Maryland Wedding Photographer

When Carla first reached out to me, she shared that one of the reasons she was attracted to my photos was because I include photos of all kinds of people. I immediately felt so happy that Carla felt comfortable with me because of that and that she could really picture herself in my photos. I'm so fortunate that I grew up surrounded by people of different races, religions, socio-economic classes, sexual orientations, etc. I'm so lucky that I was and continue to be influenced by so many different cultures and lifestyles and that I live in a place that celebrates diversity. In the wedding industry so many photographers and other vendors showcase white, skinny, hetero couples. But that's only a fraction of who's getting married and not a real representation of our society. As a wedding photographer, I want my couples and my families to look at my portfolio and immediately feel welcome no matter who they are or what they look like. I believe in accepting all people and I will always showcase all people because it is our differences that make our world so beautiful. Thank you, Carla, for sharing that with me and I'm so happy I get to be part of your story now too.
